Research is one of the mainstays of AMES and is considered a key element for ensuring the strength and continuity of the company. Through research, AMES aims to do the following:
■ Offer innovative products to the market.
■ Improve the quality and competitiveness of existing products and processes.
■ Create new manufacturing processes.
The AMES PM Tech Center is made up of a main laboratory dedicated to the development of new technologies and materials, specific laboratories in the plants specialized in product, and the Central Technical Office, which fully designs manufacturing projects including tooling and processes.
AMES’ R&D policy involves assigning the AMES PM Tech Center a significant amount of both human and financial resources. In this way the center has:
■ A team made up of highly qualified technical people.
■ A wide variety of machinery for metallurgical analysis and for the characterization of mechanical, chemical and magnetic properties.
The AMES PM Tech Center regularly participates in research and development projects, collaborating with national and international Universities and Research Centers.
